"MAHA" duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansa Acharya signed a Hollywood movie "Sold"
Sold is based on the story of Human Trafficking of Nepali Girl in the Brothel (Kothi) in India. Girl Named Lakshmi in Nepal who is promised a better life and job in India but she was unaware that she is trafficked into a Brothel (Kothi) of India where she faced forced to sell her body in Money as sex slave to live like in hell. Madan Krishna Shrestha is said to be playing as father of that Girl Lakshmi In the brothel this amazing girl transforms into a Gandhi-like person, becoming a fearless compassionate activist for freedom.
Movie is Directed by Oscar Winning Director Jeffey D.Brown, In Brown's Direction Short Movie Moliz Pilgrim won the Oscar in 1986. Jeffey as that film will use as a platform to raise funds and awareness to address the illegal sale of 2 million children every year into the sex slave trade.
In the story of Joshep Wong including Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansa from Nepal some leading actors from India like Sima Biswas, Om Puri and some Hollywood actors are also performing in the Movie. Most part of shooting was done in Nepal, India and some part of America. Recently Maha was busy on shooting in Hyamjakot-Pokhara
This was "MAHA's First International Project, where they are performing with international stars in English, Maha said they agreed to do the movie because due to the story line influenced them must which is based on the true story of Nepali Girls trafficked into a Brothel (Kothi) of India where they forced to work as sex slave.
