In neck to neck match Nepal and U.A.E . jointly shared the
trophy after tie in Final, Batting first U.A.E. made 241 runs loosing 6
wickets, One time it was looking like Nepal will comfortably win the match opening
of U.A.E. was not impressive till 19.5 overs top order 4 bats man of U.A.E. returned to pavilion adding
just 70 runs in score board. But 4 down batsman and captain Khurram Khan and
Saqib Ali lifted UAE in good score
position Kurram Khan Made 61 runs in 79 balls and Saqib Ali made 101 runs in
103 balls at the end UAE managed to made 241 runs in run rate of 4.82 runs per
over loosing 6 wickets.
Starting of Nepali batting side was quite impressive opener Subhas
Khakurel and Anil Mandal in partnership made 99 runs to give good opening to
Nepal. Subhash made 55 runs and Anil made 44 runs while vice captain Gyanendra
Malla made 32 runs, Captain Paras Khadka 31 runs, Pradeep Airee 16, Sharad Veshwakar made 38 runs from 36
balls, Prithu Baskota, Basanta Regmi and Binod Bhandari returned pavilion quickly
just adding 4 runs, after that Shakti Gauchan and Sarad Veshwaker Protected
Nepali side to loose the game, in last over when Nepal seeks 12 runs in one
over Shakti Gauchan's lifted the ball in
the air to cross the boundary for that magical 6 runs which was the much needed
to Nepal at that Moment, in last ball Nepal need 2 runs to win the match but
sadly Shakti Gauchan became run out after collecting 1 runs and match became
tie with Nepal 241/9----- UAE 241/6 in
50 overs and according to the rule of ACC for this Elite Cup Nepal and UAE
decleard the Jointly winner of this series.
In bowling Shakti Gauchan took 3 wickets while Sanjam Regmi
took 1 wicket, two other batsman of UAE was run out.
Nepali Captain Paras Khadka won the Man of this Series for
his excellent all round performance in batting and bowling in this series.
