Fifa revealed the Nominations for player of the year
for 2012. The list of candidates as below has been drawn up by world football
experts from FIFA football committee and by the experts from France Football. Final decision is said to be made by the captains
and head coaches of Men"s national teams as well as by international media
representatives selected by France Football.
According to FIFA on 29th of November on press
conference in Sao Paulo (Brazil) short listed three best contenders in every
category will be reviled who have received the most votes (without unveiling
the winners) including three nominees for FIFA Puskar award, names of short
listed candidates for best goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders will also
unveiled on 19-26 November respectively.
7 Players from Spain succeed to be in top 23 in
the list. Other players in top 23 are 3 from Italy,
2 from Germany, Argentina and Ivoire Cost and 1 each from France, Portugal,
Colombia, Sweden, Brazil,
England, and Netherlands.
Final winners will be revealed in 7 January 2013 at Zurich Kongresshaus
