Mahabir Pun - wants to Run Restaurant to Establish IT campus in Nagi.

Mahabir Pun International "Magsaysay Award" winner, a well know face from Nepal, wants to run a Restaurant in Thamel to collect budget to establish International level Campus in “Nagi” remote village in Himalayan zone of Myagdi District.

According to Facebook page of Mr. Pun He wants to run some of Restaurant like wise in Pokhara, Beni also to collect necessary Budget to run Information and Technology Campus and provide Higher education for Poor People who cannot afford to pay their fees.
Restaurant Income will be utilized for Office Equipments, Staff & Teachers salary, and other necessary uses for Campus.

According to Mahabir Pun cost for buying the restaurant is fixed. It is Rs.125,000. In which he need about Rs300,000 as running capital. The money should be paid within a month and need to give Rs.500,000 in advance next week. Restaurant will start running within two weeks.
We salute the social work he has done and going to do in future, People like Mahabir Pun who had kicked out the opportunities in which he can try easily for best earning job in foreign country and can earn money to live life easily for him and for his Future Generation. Updates of the restaurant we are going to open:

Hello Friends, I have received many responses for the restaurant opening proposal in Facebook to generate money for the rural development projects especially schools and wireless networking. I would like to thank all of you, who responded and committed for support. Also I would like to encourage those to do similar things in your areas or country ...where you live for good cause.

I am arriving in Kathmandu on the 11th. I would like to give just a brief report on the progress. Now the cost for buying the restaurant is fixed. It is Rs.125,000. We need about Rs300,000 as running capital. The money should be paid within a month and we need to give Rs.500,000 in advance next week. We will start running the restaurant within two weeks.

For those, who have committed to provide loan, please be ready to send money. We will have to name the restaurant first and register it formally with the tax office. Then we will have to open a bank account in the name of the restaurant. However, it will take time to do that. Therefore I will open a bank account in Kathmandu in my name for now. You can send your money to that account. Later, we will provide you a formal receipt for your contribution from the restaurant.

As for managing the restaurant, I have appointed Kishor Rimal of Kathmandu, who is a Master degree student of Kathmandu University. He has been helping me for different projects for the last three years and he is hardworking and honest man. We have some friends in Kathmandu, who are running trekking and hotel businesses in Thamel. They are going to help with ideas and suggestions as well. Therefore we will have enough guidance. As for cooks and waiters, we will hire them in Kathmandu for now and later, we will train people from the villages.
